Saturday 17th June      –  THE SHAMAN’S PATH

Ancient ways for modern times

Our ancient roots are in shamanic cultures wherever we live and whatever sort of culture we have grown up in. It is our spiritual heritage. Long before such relatively recent (around 3000 years) concepts as organised religion, humans sought understanding and knowledge of the universe using a variety of experiential ways which are just as applicable today as ever. These practices are still in use in a surprisingly large number of places in the world and many shamans of indigenous cultures and now sharing their ancient wisdom with all comers.

The medicine wheels are stunningly wonderful multi-dimensional maps of the territory of life within the majesty of the cosmos. Medicine wheels have been used for teaching about the cosmos and how it works since antiquity. They teach the natural order of things, of humans’ place in the world and of the deep purpose of life.

This workshop will give participants knowledge of the Four Directions, of the powers of the universe that act upon us, and suggest ways of healing old wounds and finding new vision and purpose.

Sunday 18th June     EXPLORATIONS INTO CONSCIOUSNESS

Shamanic journeys and soul retrieval

The Shamanic Journey enables exploration of altered states of consciousness. Shamans know that all dis-ease originates in the energy matrix of our being and “travel” to the source to restore balance and bring healing.  This is where we find the patterns and habits that underpin our life, and also parts of ourself that split off at times of trauma or when life seemed intolerable. For many of us these patterns can lie deeply hidden, yet affecting us on every level. The Shamanic Journey offers a vehicle where, through deep connection, you can find information and guidance and create long term change in your life.

In modern life our true purpose has been largely forgotten and replaced by expectations placed upon us by family, religion, education, culture, politics, authority figures etc, all of which can act to suppress who we really are in our essence. The tools of the shamans assist us to liberate ourselves from beliefs and cultural brainwashing. Our outer health and wholeness is an expression of our inner health and holiness. We are here to bring spirit into matter and matter to spirit.
